This afternoon I got the keys to our new house.
I wasn't too excited....I'm still feeling down about the whole idea of having to move at all.
Until I walked through the door.
Our new landlord showed me around (again) & I was excited to see that everything was soooo clean! Our first show & tell was when the previous tenants still lived there.....3, 20-something guys, that is. Needless to say it wasn't in the cleanest shape, and although I liked the place...I was thinking my work was cut out for me come move-in time. That is what happened when we moved into our current location...the landlord did NOT clean before we moved in... and it took me weeks to get it in decent shape. Well NO sirree! They had the place in immaculate condition. You have no idea how happy that made me!
And although I'm still not "raring to go" on this whole moving thing....I do feel a bit better and I can definitely see how that this new place will have lots of potential for me to decorate & make it feel like a home, too....so really.......(deep sigh).....I guess I'll be okay.
Here's a sneak peak:

It looks so cute, Gaily. I can definately see you making this house a home! I hope the moving and transition into your new home goes okay. Keep us in the loop as to what we can do to help y'all-truck use, boxes, a shoulder to cry on(if you felt how I did in moving:)
Love you, sis! Love your blog-it helps break up the monotony of every day life!

Gail,
I see lots of potential in your new place!!! I especially love the fireplace! I know you will have it looking great in no time! Post some pics!

This place just looks like you!! Before you know it, you'll have things moved over and maybe even have fun discovering things that you had tucked away and had forgotten about. ( But I don't know- if there is anyone who uses the things she has- it's you! :)
Looking forward to helping,
Mom
So exciting getting keys to your new home! I can't wait to see what you guys do with it. My husband and i moved into our house a year ago and only this month finished working on the last room! But it's been fun!
